Abner Babb¹ was born about 1763, in Frederick County, Virginia to Joseph and Mary (McCool) Babb¹. He died sometime after September 18, 1847.²

Abner married Martha Kellett, in Laurens County, South Carolina, in about 1786.². She was born about 1768, into the family of Joseph Kellett. She died November 18, 1838.²

Abner subsequently married Nancy Cook of Henry County, Georgia.
